CALL FOR SCRIPTWRITER AND DIRECTOR

Media for Health is a private, non-profit organization formed in September 2006, to produce, promote, and distribute BodyLove, a radio drama produced in conjunction with the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Public Health and the UAB Department of Theater.

Media for Health is governed by a 15 member Board of Directors with a wide range of experiences and expertise, including health promotion, primary care medicine, health communications, law, accounting, marketing, media buying, and radio production. Media for Health is supported financially by charitable foundations and radio sponsorships.

With the success of BodyLove, Media for Health has also produced Keeping Up with the Walkers, a radio drama sponsored by Journey to Wellness, an online health magazine. Media for Health is currently working on several other programs based on the principles of “entertainment-education” recommended for reaching audiences not typically reached by traditional health education and health promotion messages.
